Is there a way to have the comments in the suggestion box listed in date order from CURRENT to old. People may not use it because they 1st see very old comments and don’t necessarily scroll down to see that there are some people who are using the comment box. Normally on something like this current is at the top!

While that seems like a very logical, helpful idea, there are reasons why we cannot do that. If you post something negative about a contractor, that opens the possibility that the contractor would claim it is incorrect and sue you and us for defamation, loss of reputation, etc.
Even posting something positive has ramifications. Lets say you post something positive about a contractor and your neighbor hires him based on your recommendation. The contractor either performs shoddy work or has a dispute with that homeowner over quoted price. That opens the door to your neighbor to seek action against you for supplying bad information

Both situations are extreme, but unfortunately, that’s the world we live in. Organizations like ours have to go to extremes to make sure we don’t provide anything close to reasons for someone to sue us.

  3. James says:

Is there an area we can post for our neighbors to recommend or warn of area contractors who frequent advertisement to our community ?

  4. HOA says:

At the April BOD meeting, the Board discussed the possibility of a Spring Community Garage Sale. Typically we have our Social Committee coordinate this but we are currently without a Chairperson to do so. The Board will consider doing this directly and if it is a go, will include an announcement in the May mailing regarding the Annual Homeowners meeting.

  5. Melisa says:

Could we please have another neighborhood garage sale this spring?

  6. Pamela says:

I am writing regarding the moss in all the trees in the common areas. So far, 4 trees are dead. The moss spreads thru the air to the next tree. The moss will eventually kill the tree. If the moss is not removed and the trees sprayed all the trees will die and that would be more costly to replace the trees than paying a company to remove the moss and spray the trees. This needs immediate attention. Mario would be the person with the most expertise in this area, I believe. Thank you.

  7. HOA says:

Thank you for your suggestion Brandi! We have not found a place to put it and as of now funds are not budgeted for it.

  8. Brandi says:

How about a community playground for our children? I signed a petition for this….are we going to see one?

  9. HOA says:

Marcia, thank you for your suggestion. We tried putting a phone book together several times in the past, but no more than 10 people responded each time. As for your babysitting/petsitting question, if you are interested, we can post a need for babysitting on the web and people can contact you. Please let us know.

  10. Marcia Miller says:

provide a roster of homeowners – inc. babysitters, petsitters, etc.

  11. Marcia Miller says:

Is there a community phone book that lists all of the neighbors and phone numbers
