About The Preserve at Astor Farms

The Preserve at Astor Farms is not just another gated community in Seminole County. This is a truly unique community surrounded by the Black Bear Wilderness Area and the Lower Wekiva State Preserve, a region designated by the state as a protection area for wildlife and their habitat. Astor Farms residents are fortunate to live amongst this peaceful environment. Some common flying friends seen here at the Preserve are the Sandhill Crane, herons, egrets, ducks, hawks and even the American Bald Eagle. Raccoons, foxes, opossum and White-Tailed Deer are familiar sites here in the natural lands that surround Astor Farms, as is the Black Bear. Seeing these animals in the wild is an awe inspiring experience. Surrounding many of the lakes and ponds in Astor Farms you will see a buffer of native wetland vegetation. These ponds provide habitats to much Florida wildlife.
